So here we are again with another update! woohoo! Let’s see how long I can keep up with the weekly posts!
Joceline and Edmund are two wacky, crazy fun people and they love watching movies as much as I do – which is a lot!
We got introduced after I had booked in Marie and Darren, and we got to talking almost straight away. I loved Joce’s chatty, bubbly nature and Ed’s quiet but easy going personality.
We got to know each other more during their engagement session (which will be up soon – I’m posting out of chronological order here), and we had an absolute blast.
So by the time the wedding day came round, I was absolutely raring to go.
The weather held up beautifully with lovely cloudy skies, making the light fantastic to work with.
Edmund had a surprise planned for Joce at the reception, which you will see in the photos. So when I arrived at his place in the morning, he wanted to “practice” it one last time.
They chose to have their ceremony at Santa Maria College where Joce completed high school, along with Marie her maid of honour.
We then headed to Fremantle for some photos while the guests proceeded to Matilda Bay Restaurant for the reception.
Their reception has got to be one of the more memorable ones I’ve attended. The speeches by both parents and the bridal party was simply amazing. Marie took the unofficial prize for best speech of the night.
She went into detail how Joce met Ed, and how she hit Ed in the face with the back of her head – accidentally. After an episode like that, she didn’t ever want to see him again. But as fate would have it, they are now happily married.
As for why Ed was that close behind her, he did not say :)
We also found out how Ed has been nicknamed the Asian James Bond. He even has a James Bond pose he likes to pull out every now and then – pictures below. Seeing him in the bowtie and suit that day, I can see why.
And finally near the end of the reception, Ed was ready to pull out his surprise: a rendition of “Now and Forever” by Richard Marx. Talk about a blast from the past!
If you’ve never heard the song, click here.
