Travel – Amsterdam

Another update from our travels, this time in Amsterdam.

This has got to be one of my favourite cities. Here’s a quick update.

A store selling some of Amsterdam’s famous ‘magic mushrooms’ – and no I didn’t try one.

Febo – Vending machines selling hot food. Seriously, you have to try it for yourself to believe it. I had the Double Grillburger for 3.20 Euros.

Canals and bicycles – two of Amsterdam’s most well-known features.

We had the awesome privilege to attend the World Press Photo exhibition for 2011. The awards are held yearly and thousands of photographers from all over the globe try their hand at winning the coveted World Press Photo of the Year award. We got the chance to see the winning shot plus lots of other category winners.

So there you have it – Amsterdam. Who knew it was more than just sex and drugs? ;)

Right now, we’re in Füssen, Germany to see the castle that inspired Walt Disney’s trademark and will be heading to the Swiss Alps in two days. I’ll keep posting when I get a chance!
